Joachim Schmid

Joachim Schmid's medium is 'found photography'.
He picks up discarded pictures on the street, often torn and trodden on, and presents them as mysterious works of art.
Sometimes he re-presents these pictures as if they are lost classics by such well-known photographers as Ansel Adams and August Sander.

Picture from the Street No.75

"I find the flare on the mirror slightly annoying.
There is quite a bit of waste area at the top
and over to the left."

Picture from the Street No.187

"I like this. It is a pure pattern picture
in which you can find fascinating little
corners to amuse you and tease the eye."
